Dyes Family Ties is the work of Angie Benjamin from Longmont Colorado.
As a Colorado resident for nearly 20 years and dyer for over 10, my name is, Angie Martini Benjamin. My most significant style of tie dye is a modern representation of shibori, an ancient Japanese style of dying textiles. My designs are produced with intricate and complex folding combined with extreme pressure to the fabric. Then professional procion MX dyes are used. Each piece takes hours of preparation, rinsing time and unfastening.
